| Dinos was not always Dinos.
Purchased in 1960 by Dean Bartolo, Ringside Liquors (named for
the boxing murals on the ceiling) became a friendly,
neighborhood corner bar and packaged liquor store. It soon
became a local hang out and Dean (aka Dino) changed the name to
Dino’s Lounge.
Dino and his new neighborhood gang
shared laughs and drinks daily. They became a family. Together,
they started the oldest tradition at Dinos, the exclusive “99"
card game every Friday night. Once Dino aged, his youngest son
Chuck soon became owner of the bar. With him in charge, the
business took off. His quick wit, bottomless jokes, and
insurmountable charm, kept the patrons entertained. Now, he has
passed this family business on to his own daughter, Kristin. She
has stepped up and taken over. Don’t let her heart stopping
beauty and kindness fool you, she is one tough cookie. Kristin
has become the main attraction at Dinos-just like those before
her. And yes the traditional “99" is by invite only. |
